I have really been liking the idea of constructing my own sailboat lately, just the thougth of sailing something i made makes me smile. I was thinking of building a something like a 18' overnight trailerable sailboat that me and a friend or two could go out on the lake for the week or weekend. Some may say im too ambitious for such a project but i do have decient wood working skills. I was looking a the Hartley 18' and i like the look of that but it uses conventional methods and was wondering if there was a Stitch and glue sailboat that is a sound design and comes at a decent price
    Thanks

The long Micro by Bolger is a good starter boat. I think it's tack and tape, but I'm not sure. Big boat for the money. It's a full keel boat with straight sides, so the interior is huge. Said to be a fast sailer. 19 ft.
