    Hello all,

We are buying a 1996 Crossline 40 steel boat, the hull was built by Dennis Schreiber in St. Augustine Fl. and outfitted by Crossline Co. Astoria, Oregon (this is stated on a data plate mounted inside the boat). We'd like to find any information, designs, diagram and etc. as the current owner lacks the info. We like the vessel and seem to be in a very good shape but like every boat owner out there is best to have a better history available.

If anyone can help out to provide more information than we already have, we'd be grateful.

    Thanks,

    Alex

This is pretty much what we are looking at, but no where is mentioned as it be a Bruce Roberts design. There's no documentation available besides what you see, which is a bummer as history and specs is good to have.

12' beam is pretty narrow these days for a 40' boat. If it really is only 12' wide I would guess it's a Bruce Roberts Waverunner that's been stretched.....If it's really 40' long.

Dennis Schreiber was born in 1947, I don't know if he's still alive. He apprenticed (4 years) with George Sutton and in his own yard specialized in building Sutton's round-bottom steel designs. Schreiber did just the steel work, but he did rent space to owner's completing hulls they bought from him. And he built hulls from various designers including Colvin, Walter, Garden, and DeFever.
