This is very sad news, I'm speechless . . :(

Another light that shone over the forum has been extinguished, Steve for sure will be missed.

My feelings go out to his kids and the rest of the family and all who loved him.

    ~ Rest in Peace ~

Very sad. I didn't know Steve but I am touched by this news.

He was a very positive part of the forums for me.

I wish that we all knew each other better.

Very sad to hear this news.

Steve was a member of the forums here since 2002 and it was always fun to get a look at the boats he was building.

His enthusiasm and positive outlook and excitement in taking on and sharing his projects was wonderful.

May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face.

Thoughts are with Steve's family and friends.

Such a shock...so sudden and too soon. He was always busy designing or building and always positive. He will be missed.

    ^ this.

As with Ancient Kayaker: the effort to be positive.

There can be so much discouraging about even desiring to restore or build your own boat, as so many here do desire to do and are even currently attempting, never mind learning about a field as diverse as this is, that the effort to be positive and encouraging is something much to be appreciated and emulated.

Sad news, along with Ancient Kayaker, it has not been a kind year so far. Hope their enthusiasm has rubbed off on others to carry on the work. Condolences to family and friends.

A very tragic loss. It is really remarkable through his boat building and his activity on these forums how many lives he has touched.
