Again, no wood dust from a sander isn't remotely as small as wood flour, no offense Steve. If you look at the particulates out of a DA with 220 grit paper and wood flour, the difference is startling.

The difference in use (yes you can use DA or other sander dust if desired) is wood flour is fairly creamy when wetted out, but sander dust is like troweling sand or sugar, depending on how much bigger the particulates are.

Wood flour (or sander dust if very fine) makes a good wood joint glue, mixed with silica, and/or cab-o-sil, and/or milled fibers, and/or cotton flock, etc., etc., etc.
