The hull flooding/light ballast idea from the "movable ballast, self righting" thread should work on this. One cat hull could be glass for the ballast the other wood or.....It could right with the kayak removed for a support craft. A fun idea, use a longer paddle when docked?

It's a neat thing when someone like Michael Schacht uncorks his creative talents in the direction of small, utilitarian craft adaptations, such as this one.

Over the last several years, it's been a real blast sharing creative boat design ideas with Michael and the result has been some very interesting boats. Here's one that he did which really hit a nerve for me, being a SoCal beach kid who learned to sail right around the time that the first beach style multihulls began showing up.

Michael is a very talented guy with an impressive resume styling boats for some big names in the recreational boating industry. If you found the concepts in this thread intriguing, it would be well worth your time to tool around at the Proafile site to see what other kind of stuff he finds interesting.
