Can anyone identify the builder of this boat ?

I am trying to figure out what brand of sailboat this is and any other info on this model.She appears to be between 25-30 feet. i think her windows have been covered to look longer and i guess more modern. i know some one on here knows waht she is or might be my reserch has turned up nothing


She is approxx 27 ft with approxx 8ft beam

Additional photos and a measurement of the hull length would help. The smoked plastic cabin "window" certainly looks like an add on. I sure hope it's not original! The full keel and sheer has me thinking Cape Dory or a similar type, but it's hard to say without more photos. Look very carefully along the hull, outside and in, for letters and numbers stamped in the hull.

 

If this boat was built after 1972 it should have a Hull Identification Number on the stern. If there is any papers on this boat the HIN is probably on the papers. Plus that it has a North Carolina registration number on it. North Carolina can probably give you some info on it.

 

Looks like there's a name under that black crap - right behind the side window.

She doesn't match any of the cape dorys she has an stern rudder with tiller i'm told by the seller she might be a herley but i'm not thinking that eather i just wanted more info on her before i go to look at and possible buy her i'll get the hull number when i go
