    Hello Good fellows,
I am new in research and development in new composite materials using in fiberglass boats. Right now I am spraying three layers of glossy lacquer coating in PVC sheet hull mold, which I cure to to a fine slippery polish and then apply gel coat, do you think its a good idea to get a good glossy finish outcome.... sorry If my question dumb, but I am new in this world of building boats. Thanks in Advance. :)

You need a demolding wax on the mold. Otherwise the gelcoat will adhere to the laquer and you won't be able to get the parts off.
