Export as .3dm file from maxsurf

Use contour command on bottom and sides to get hull lines

Extrude these curves to girder/stiffener depth

A little note of caution here about the standard extrude command it can create anomalies in the ends if the line has any curvature. The extrude ribbon command may give better outcome or the line offset (then create a surface). Here is an extreme example to show the difference. The fin command is also good if want to get vertical to a surface.

Thanks @bhnautika, I skipped a step. Wasn’t sure of hull shape so it isn’t as straight forward as these instructions. Orientation of the stiffeners will need to be determined also.
