Swimming in a tank is fine, eating live bats not so much.

I think some of this "salmon" product is a bit like sausages, if you saw what went into making it, you might lose your appetite.

I used to make fish boxes for commercial fishermen who would net vast quantities of common bottom feeding carp out of Lake Pepin ( AKA the twin cities septic tank) and ship it out East labeled as Pepin Perch. This was years before the EPA existed and PCB oil was a standard dust remedy for gravel roads.

I'd doubt they are eaten live, all the flapping would disturb the side dishes.
