Ideas about ultraligth powerboats ?

Are there any non planning powerboats length about 50 ft, with a D/L ration of 80 or under ? (weigth less than 22 - 25 000 lbs) ?

I known quinn by M Kasten and idlewild by G Buehler; but are there others.

fcfc - what is the use of a non-planing super lightweight powerboat? A very uncomfortable ride will be your fate, when seas are getting a bit rough.
Or am I mistaken? If so, please correct me.

If it's slender enough it may be OK. Displacement reliative to length is maybe less interesting for comfort than displacement reliative to waterplane area? The waterplane area gives you the "spring constant" if you think of the boat as weight in a spring..
Planing or non planing is a bit relative words. If you mean a speed of approx 2xWLW^0.5, 50 feets means 14-15 knots without planing. That may be a very economical speed, and the boat will also peform well in "hull speed" like 10 knot (even more economically of course).

I just wanted to know if there were such powerboats, and if any, what they look like. No more.

BTW, dashew FPB has a D/L of 60. But is 80 ft loa.
