Money is not main issue. I see people buy $800 fishing reels all the time. They will pay $10,000 for a nice jet powered dingy like Boston Whaler on steroids.

taking off should give a boost even bigger than rocketing away on a pwc and no licencing nor speed limits

and o yeah, the "commercial" croom finish of plastics i'm told by artois once goes like this:

    Metalliseren Plastic
submerge first in a 3 to 4 % solution of hydrochinon.
    first clean well
Than submerge in a solution of silvernitraat
The hydrochinon reduces the silvernitraat to silver
the new silver layer can be polished to metalglow and can be made thicker

    Ingredients

    Zilvercyanide...........................................25 dl
    Kaliumcyanide.........................................45 dl
    Potas........................................................20 dl
    Thio-ureum.............................................45 dl
    Water..................................................1000 dl

    0,6 Amp p dm2 and temp 27 C

    or without electricity:

    Nikkelchloride....................................30 dl
    Natriumhypofosfiet...........................10 dl
    Natriumcitraat..................................100 dl
    Ammoniumchloride...........................50 dl
    Ammonia tot pH = 8-10
    Water.................................................810 dl

    another procédé:

    clean plastic in trinatriumfosfaat
    make sensitive with stannochloride......................10 dl
    Strong zoutzuur (salt heartburn?)............................45 dl
    water.....................................................................1000 dl

stear two minutes whith object submerged

    croming with:

    zilvernitraat...........................................60 dl
    destilled water............................................1000 dl
    Ammonia 28%.........................................56 dl
    Formaldehyde 40%..................................65 dl

silvernitraat in water dissolve and add the ammonia slowly in a slow turning drum than add the reducing formaldehyde solution
turn till the solution is out of silvernitraat and when the layer is to thin repeatthe process

thought that was a great answer but havent try'd it yet and correct me when wrong, i'll still think chromed plastic looks great

:D yeah! the idea of a small wig is imho good tho and sorry for the over enthousiastic headline shouting above
wig in first pics seems for sale and may be worth a talk, last pic shows interest from investors? :D

Yipster, I like the look of the second last picture in your previous post... And yea, those guys are good to have as investors... For the rest of the pictures we will need to have Diamond aircraft as our partners. Bombardier will not be thrilled with this idea though since Diamond aircraft use Rotax engines in their airplanes. Though I have been at their factory in London Ontario last summer, very nice people :)

hi Vlad, your so serious is surprising me :D its the drag of gettin airborne, getting out of the water, some use hoovercraft others plane out
once up its only 15% gas drag what was it. hard to handle wig stories may depend on model and looks to me thats mere history
Lippisch type pic you like can make higher jumps and was just asking pipeshoeman who has his hooverwig up for sale here to give his vision here..

Lippisch model looks and fly's good, its reversed delta wing is very stable by it self
so that only a small horizontal stabilizer is necessary
these crafts can also jump and use V-hulls like on a speed boat
the most power is necessary to get over the hump speed of the hull

in the last pic below i drew a tandem wing concept looking for simplicity, low construction cost but its allready to complicated
those say fender wings can be of cloth and more to optimise
it uses two small wings in line the wings are set in different angles in respect to each other
and this configuration provides excellent stability and no horizontal stabilizer is necessary but the flaring height is relative low

this one still looks best to me but doubt Roel Verhagen's build in propulsion

What was / is his concept behind the two inlets? A prop?

Did Roel Verhagen develop that further from a conceptual sketch?

    Regards
    Richard
