    Jeff,
A lot of useful spreadsheets, calculators, papers, etc., have been (and still are) posted as attachements at these forums, many times created by the posters themselves. Not links, but the 'real' thing. This information, if a visitor does not get it in time, becomes 'lost in the past', specially in very long threads, due to the incredible rythm of posts nowadays.

At the 'Technical Resources' section of the Directory you've listed many online resources, but those are links to useful sites, not what I'm talking here about.

At 'Gallery', posters can upload photos, images, and the like, but not PDF documents, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.

Would it be possible to create a place where to upload those documents and keep them there, so they may be easily found by interested people?

Maybe this service is already available, but I do not know how to find it. If so, please forgive my stupidity.

I agree.... such a feature would be really nice to have here. Is it possible?

I concur with that too, presumably those attachments are lost when the threads are archived ?

No, no attachments have been deleted to date nor will they be automatically deleted at any time in the future... but they can be hard to find within the threads as time goes by.

I'll see what I can come up with.

have a look at the structure of the library at seahorse.org. Very simple and easy to implement.

Please suggest additional spreadsheet categories in this thread and they will be added ASAP.

Would it be possible to add a direct link to the downloads zone from the Boat Design Forums main page?
    Cheers

    Jeff ditto to this.
Hopefully this will include a link to the cad blocks file repository that I can never find and many are unaware of. :)

    Thanks for your effort

Have tucked links to both under the software forum for now, but will increase visibility as we get more spreadsheets submitted :)
