I have a 2.7 hp outboard thats really hard to start, I can get it started but the compression from the motor is really hard to overcome. does anyone know a solution to this? maybe just needs running in?

A motor this size should be easy to pull-start with one hand.
Is this one of those cheaper units that has no shifter? If so, is it fitted with a centrifugal clutch (or any sort of clutch)?
