integral steering fin or directional fin

    I need some information about design of setting for integral steering fin in surface drive. Can you help me?

    Please be specific;-

    Many surface drives have a fin on the shaft between the transom and prop, and steering is achieved by swinging the shaft port and Stbd in the same way as it can be swung up and down to achieve trim.

    If you are asking how to design a steering fin for a surface drive, that would be done by the manufacturer at the design stage of the drive - the naval architect would liaise with them rather than design it themselves.
