is there a place where i can find a small inboard motor between 2 and 10 horsepower? how much would one cost? It will be used on a small 14 foot mini tugboat for riding around, not pulling or pushing.

    Thanks, Blake

Although you are in the Diesel section , a gas engine would be loads cheaper.

If you get a replacement roto tiller engine it will cost about $500 max , and have a built in 6-1 gear reduction.

Perfect for really efficient pushing a good sized prop.

No it wont have neutral or reverse but at 1/10 the cost of a tiny marine diesel, you can cope.
