If Space X can catch a rocket, why not a boat?

I'm wondering how OSHA classifies the guy standing on the tongue hooking the bow and winching. This is the stuff I think about when someone walks in the shop and wants to borough a piece of equipment for a few minutes. I just put $2000 worth of tires on a backhoe today because somebody screwed up and cut them to pieces.
 
It does go bad too, some sort of automatic catch on the trailer winch post is often used around here.
 
Maybe they should just run the boat up the beach like this Shannon class lifeboat in the UK -

Anchor point and ninilchik boat launching. They do it a ton, wild to watch as some are better than others.
