Hi, Does this forum help identify historical marine items?

I purchased a 1910 house, and found this BUDA marine part.
It appears to have a gauge on one side with a copper fitting.
Does anyone also have any suggestions on how to protect / restore it?

Thank you much for any help you can offer!

I don't think it is a marine item, Buda first made railroad gear and I think that is a hydraulic jack.

Hi Jehardiman, Thank you for your replies! I appreciate. Yes it definitely looks like the 2nd set of jacks you posted (The jack in the middle.)
Only difference is the gauge on the side. Perhaps that might be a feature available in certain years.
I live next to the ocean so I thought it might be marine related. Now I'll need to find help on how to restore the Buda "sea" jack. I saw one jack that they really restored well.

Hi Jehardman, Maybe you are correct it is one of the ball bearing jacks as that might be what the gauge is for. Thank you
