In 2005 from group designer - ship-building experts, under my management have been designed the project of a non-self-propelled dredger for firm "Euroquartz” - city Pleven - Bulgaria belong of Mladen Vatov.
To me has got the honor and the pleasure to acquaint you with launching and successful started operations of already built and working dredger.
Principal dimensions and characteristics of the original version of the dredger from 09.05.2005 are specified in the General arrangement plan, carried out on AutoCAD-see fig 1 and 2.
During construction the following parameters have been realized:
    1. The sucking centrifugal pump with capacity 150 cubic m/hour has been exchanged with other - with capacity about 650 cubic m/hour at 750rev/min. The pump works with a frequency adjuster.
    2. The conditional diameter of the sucking and pressure pipe line from 150mm on 225mm enlarged. Pipes in the Pump room are steel.
    3. The type and the overall dimensions of the electromotor of the setting in motion of the pump have been changed. The power of the new engine is 160 kW.
    4. Are changed all four anchors from 36 to 100 kg and the anchor winches have been amplified.
    5. There are additional safe constructions-shields, in the bow of the outside pontoons for protection against floating trunks in the river.
    6. The pressure pipe line to pass under the deck of the Pump room of the mean pontoon instead of from above.
    7. The changed weight has reduced up to change of ballast for trim, a new draft of 75-80 cm and a new freeboard at a new displacement.
Realization of the project has taken away a long time span from for the stopping of performance for the sake of the death of the chief of firm.
Work has been prolonged and finished with the successful extremity from his son Alexander Vatov together with his wife Ivanka Vatova-the manager of the firm "Euroquartz".
An active participation in the construction was perform by the builder of the dredger - ship-building engineer Nikolay Atanasov from city Pleven which has enter a series of improvements in the project for the period of construction and monitored launching on 14.04.2016.
From the enclosed pictures and video clips - see fig 3-12, you will receive representation about the realized dredger and the initial phase of its operation.

Cool little barge/dredger, these would be good to use here for dredging canals. I guess you attach some kind of hose out to dump the sand away.

There is not milling cutter for dig. There is a capability only to suck in sand together with water. See at video clips of the floating pipeline from the dredger up to the shore.

I am familiar with this type of dredger, I used to own one that we made. It used a large air compressor to create suction. We used this for maintenance in canals. We removed several feet of mud from the bottom.

A cruise on the historic Danube would be a candidate for my bucket list. Good work.
