It is more airplane than boat, but still, not either!

It doesn't fly, but it doesn't float!

This can be a deadly effect with a slightly overloaded
aircraft! When your nose is up and the VSI says 0
you have a problem! You can maintain speed , but
    can not climb!

superman?, but on closer inspection and the graphics available from UTube - nice toy but rather limited in practical scope of application and that applies to most wigs.....

I doubt that they could compete on many international routes London to Greece, London to LA, Sydney to NY, Australia to USA or Europe and routes where turns and cranky seas or travel over both land and sea may be encountered... Along busy shipping channels quickly comes to mind.... I would not like to be in one, when a fast avoidance manoeuvre was necessary to avoid a fishing boat in a heavy seaway.....

Advantages may be in the summer months around northern Russia where melting surface and permafrost 1 to 3 ft below makes other forms of transport difficult....

Also, Mr C, there are people who cannot resist, and, after all it is in fun.... A bit of a game, - - you know what I mean...
