I have a 67 mercury outboard and the contacts in the ignition went bad so I was going to replace it with an aftermarket switch but the new switch only have 4 prongs and not 6 light oem switch. I have the wiring diagram but it just tells what colors went to what prong, I need to know what goes where HELP PLEASE!

The 6 prong switch is probably for a push choke. If you don't put the original type, it will be very hard to start. Also, it is impossible to give you instructions to hook up a mystery switch. Can you post a schematics of the switch?
