i am looking to build a 10 m rib with my brother we have a small boat building yard. we want to build a rib that can do 25-35 kts in any weather. the rib would be used as a rescue rib and as a way for disabled person to get out to the islands. we are useing the ocean dynamics and the halmatic for inspiration. there needs to be a hydralic platform that can lower right under the water for easy access to divers with the benz. has anyone used http://www.floridabowthrusters.com/swimplatforms.htm they look easy to build just two hydralic arms with a platform attached. would this work with jets ? it needs jets as the rib is always near or on beaches. any advise would be great

have not used the platform as yet, but I'm a specialist in RIB design. Have been doing this for the last 20 + years to load of international / military / coast guard institutions.
Jets close to beach is another think which you need to keep in mind. Sand and the impellers dont work that well together. have a look at my website. www.kobusnavaldesign.com
