That was when I was a kid, near our place. I remember him turning back a couple of times, don't remember if he ever got to tassy. Must have been exciting looking up at the waves rolling over the windscreen.

 

Here's a little more information on that "exciting" flight, for both pilot and passenger it turns out.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing with the "like" button. Jeff, if you happen to see this any comment?

 

IIRC the like button isn't available in the community forum (all things boats and boating)

 

Yes, the intent was to keep the likes count for the more focused boat design and boatbuilding posts in the main forums.

Thanks, and likewise, hope everyone is doing well. When the pandemic is over it will sure make us appreciate all the things we may have started to take for granted!

 

I appreciate this forum. It helped me to get over some very rough spots in life. The pandemic will pass.

 

It's been almost 13 years since I made my first post here. I've noticed many people have come and gone. As I've said before I'm certain that I could not have done nearly the restoration I did without the expertise and encouragement from so many people that I met here. From the beginnings way back then to a recent discussion with a completely different group just a few weeks ago we solve problems, support each other and most important make each other think. One thing I'm especially grateful for is that while we don't always agree, we can at least be civil with each other. I know that Jeff is good about enforcing the rules but I think that most would stay inline anyway. For me it's a privilege to feel welcome here. With all the turmoil in the world recently it's a place I can come to take a break, think about something enjoyable and learn something.

Wow. I had to check and see how long I've been on this forum. 14 years, and I used to lurk a lot before that. I wish some of those folks were still with us.
