That's it, (thanks sabahcat), but you've got to get past the intro human powered pontoon boat (which works if you add a hand operated canard amidships for balancing).

What is your interest in this vessel Tom?

I would like to build one similar to it but only 90 cm long for a competition (fun, no prize money).

    Why do you ask?

Just curious to the motivation, that's all.

You're going to have a problem scaling down some of the designs unique features to make it work effectively at model scale.

I wouldn't be scaling it down, simply applying the principle to accommodate the competition rules.

You are scaling it down if the size is smaller. The main problem you will find is that the viscosity of the water stays the same, so the behavior of a small model is similar to a full size boat running in oil.

Please read my posts more carefully Gonzo.

"Building one similar to it" and "applying the principle" aren't the same as scaling down.

Scaling up or down more than 10% doesn't work out too well.

Sometimes reading a post and not having the facial expressions to go with it, comments are taken wrong. Possibly he mistook your Post #12 for more than it was intended. In any case, please, everyone, be civil to your fellow forum members.

P.S. re: what the vessel is, in addition to the video posted on Quest
