hull coatings

    I recently bougth a 1992 larson the green stripe on the sides has a coating on it that is starting to go milky does any one know how to remove this coating

    Polish and elbow grease or power buffer. This is oxidation, the break down of the surface from exposure to sun's UV rays. This is normal for gel coated surfaces with the age you've posted. The green stripes may be a vinyl stick on thingie and may not like using polish on it. Test a small out of the way area before subjecting the stripe to the buffer. I've had good success with Flitz polish and DuPont cutting compounds for the more aggressive jobs, though there are many brands of polish available.
