For a sailboat in cored construction. (Plywood or sandwich bulkhead connetced to sandwich hull).

    See thread http://boatdesign.net/forums/showthread.php?t=23883

Are there any rules that usefully deals with such joints, sizing and / or manufacturing.

So far, I have found nothing in ABS ORY, Veritas, Germanisher lloyd and ISO 12215-6:2000.

    Thanks.

    Elements of boat strength

The only place I've seen that has any recommendations on tabbing is in Dave Gerr's book "The Elements of Boat Strength".

There may be some recommendations in older versions of ABS (http://www.eagle.org/absdownloads/index.cfm). Look for publication #12. This is an out of date guide (replaced by later versions) but it had some good info that may be applicable.

edit: I just checked, it is there in Section 6.

    Thanks.

I though I could find more in rules, because it is for me a structural feature.
