How to glass a window rebate into a panel?

    Reading the instructions the acrylic needs to be less than .5% uv transmission otherwise you need a covering strip. All of the specs for acrylic I found online list 98% reduction in uv transmission. Is that sufficient and the specs are just presented differently?

    No, the part covering the sealant is painted to block UV.

    You could repurpose the frames by installing them on the inside. Cut the lip so the plexiglass only shows on the outside. They would have to be curved in the opposite direction, but that is not too hard.
