I'm guessing this 1/4" steel-hulled Philip Bolger ketch

    was built out of 'fully developable' sheets of steel, in other words flat pieces.

    Sort of like Origami Boats?

    Has a very utilitarian Neo-Post Industrial Pre-Modernist Movement(or whatever 'they' would say) look to it.

    Looks allright to me - if its easy to build, why not. I look forward to hearing where the desing comes from.

    Philip Bolger WAS the designer

    designed 100s of boats.

    some traditional, and some with a 'no nonsense' aesthetic.

    fully developable... mostly ugly.

    No doubt original approach to make full -keeled hull developable!
    My hat off to hull design, no matter who is the author!
