What kind of sailboat should I use for fishing scampi? A sailboat surely isn't the most efficient boat to use in terms of fishing, but I can't afford anything else. Any ideas?

Any relatively stable sailboat will serve as a lobster fishing boat. The real key is working space, preferable aft, so you can haul traps. The cat boat was commonly employed for this, in the golden age of sail, though again any wide and stable hull form will do. The cat rig would seem a wise choice to get the propulsion up forward, out of the way when working.
