"...government officials paid me a visit and made a few pictures."

So much for paradise. Oh well, it was a fun illusion while it lasted.

    CDK,

It maybe possible to install steel plate ramp extensions by hand with a few small steel pipe rollers and a pinch bar.

Does the water ice up in the winter? Maybe you could slide the weld plates onto the ice, hold them in relative position with a few cables till the ice melts and they sink.

Good Progress, You weren't long getting all the parts and putting it together. Looks good for what you have to do there, have you tried the boat on it yet?

That's right Tom, there is always a backside, so I settle for "almost".

This bay probably saved our lives almost 35 years ago when it provided shelter against a storm way beyond what our speedboat could cope with, so I love the place.

No, I labeled the picture trailer_almost_done. There are still some parts to be constructed and all support rolls are not yet attached.

Brakes are a pain in the neck, I concur.

    Project finished, construction proven.
Compare the car (a full size Sorento SUV) to the trailer....

Well done, looks the part. I see you have added some kind of guides behind the rear axle since your previous picture. Can you see this when you are bringing the boat in, or do you extend them upwards or have someone directing you?

When pulling the boat out, the bow stayed exactly centered but the stern was approx 4 inches off center. I repeated it a few times with more or less the same outcome so my guess is that the slip isn't quite level.
So I added the guides with 10" tyres and hinges so they can fold back when the trailer has to pass my garden gate.

Tom, the fender holders I bought at a boating fair in Holland at least 25 years ago.
