Cajun bateaus with one-lung engines at BTWBS

    At the Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show in Franklin, Louisiana, there were several Cajun bateaus powered by one cyclinder engines. Direct drive from crankshaft to prop. No transmission. To reverse, you reverse the engine. :D



    I guess that was state of the art for marine internal combustion engines around 1900.
