You betcha I aint going --for one I don't need to and to bet me I dare not is silly.

I said---- it is better off now than it was and it has now an open book on which to move forward I cant explain it any easier.

By this ---sigh-- I was suggesting America - not by war or civil unrest needs similar,--a clean open book and rid itself of old constitutions and traditions that have no meaning any more.

Do you have man walk in front of you car with a red flag, No? its law you know. Well maybe in some states but not in others . Im not sure which state has it but probably some do. Well organised isnt it?

In Ohio it is illegal to lend your lawn mower to a nieghbour and in Alaska it is illegal to talk to a man that is moose hunting.

There is a lot of these, I don't know if they are true probably are --I heard it on the Radio. It doesnt matter it was just used to explain my point.

Local laws that some of you prefer over government derived.

Glad you have back-peddled from what you said yesterday.

I don't know anyone who has ever been ticketed for loaning a law mower. Do you?

    Just for fun frosty:

So it looks like you folks paid dearly for the first and even more from that hard place of high dept to run the second.
Wars are expensive... How'd you put it... "not my fault"!

It's interesting to see the US and GP both paid down their war dept in about the same number of years and to about the same levels:

(Forgive me for using this political hack chart- all I could find fast this fine morn..)

I will throw in a weak postulate- as soon as the US got the dept paid down from WWII- we took off on another venture: the really expensive bits of saber rattling during the last gasps of the cold war....

Perhaps we can declare that peace is upon us and now pay down this 'war' dept as well.

The USA is too addicted to war to give up that suddenly.
Maybe just one more and then never again.

    "Addicted to war" eh

Anyone want to run the numbers- conflicts of 20 century and causes?

The just one more ideal seems to have kept the Europeans from going at each others throats (again)- those guys going to behave now?
    Who knows....
