    Sure- the Yanks "over did it" & didn't need to take the home islands.

    OK- should all of Europe have stopped at the Rhine?

    The German plans for total annihilation of the Russians met a bit of resistance on that count.
    The German/Russian bit set new standards for take no quarter..
