Actually Libya today will be the safest it has been for a long time and its potential to re group as a democracy is at its highest. Its future is open and fresh and new.

    Yours is not.

Troy its simple you don't need a constitution. Make laws for yourself--the modern American not some thing written on Papyrus before slavery.

Surely you can see thats why it does'nt work very well Ok look at it this way your fitting new software on a 50's computer.

Why don't you actually read the US Constitution before you criticize it. Why did we get into WW2? Oh, I remember now, to save England so Frosty wouldn't have to learn Japanese or German!

    Hoyt,
The US got into WW2 because the neutrality you tried didn't exist after you were attacked by the Japanese at Pearl Harbour.

But we were sending the British butter and bullets and the Axis knew it. The remark was one of a tongue in cheek nature and not meant to be totally precise. Had we truly been neutral the Japanese would have saved us for later attacks after they had consolidated their gains. They knew we were working against them (Flying Tigers and Eagle Squadrons being 2 examples).

Why don't you actually read the US Constitution (if you are literate) before you criticize it. Why did we get into WW2? Oh, I remember now, to save England so Frosty wouldn't have to learn Japanese or German! (quote

One of your silliest posts Hoyt if not the!!

No--your got into WW2 because we were loosing and if we did you would be fighting on your own soil.

And it might have been because Japan kicked your as you slept with all your ships in one harbour. Not my fault!!

Had you not entered the war you would know war on your own soil and understood a great deal more about war and how un-glamorous it is.

Don't talk to me about Iraq or twin towers wait till you get bombs in your own cities night after night, year after year. You are fortunate to know nothing of real war as did Europe.

You dropped the bomb 'little boy' 200 yds from a school in a city, desperate for revenge even though Japan bombed legitimate military targets you cobbled together a bomb that you were not sure would destroy the world. ---Thanks for that,--- Im still alive, we are all great full, the entire human race did 'miraculously" survive .

Pearl Harbour was one of the biggest military blunders in the history of war but made for great movies.

And by the way you refused to send bombs and ammunition to UK because you were not sure we could pay, the Canadians paid our last bill as we gave you all we had and were bankrupt.

But yes Hoyt thank you and thank you again for saving us Im sick of saying thank you but thanks again our most valued ally.

I didn't ask for your thanks. Much of what you said is true.

Tora, Tora, Tora was the most accurate of those movies. Before WW2 we sent our scrap metal to Japan. Now we send it to China. Ain't that something! I'm glad you like Spam (made by Hormel).

Saying the same thing over and over again doesn't make it true frosty.

Why don't you look up how many civilians died under the bombs dropped by Lancasters and Halifaxes.
Shall we characterize the British as being as being "desperate for revenge"?

Historians who select portions of the story to represent history in a given light are called revisionists.

    Look it up:

The united States never would have had to face conflict on its own soil in WWII by the way.
(ignoring the Japanese foray into the Aleutian islands..)

Britain continued to pursue strategic bombing over Europe long after the direct threat of invasion had passed.
Hundreds of thousands of civilians died as a result.

The United States was bombing Japan in devastating fire bombing raids in which women children and all the other innocents of war died horrible deaths.

    Why?
Just a little holiday for the boys?
    Sporting fun you know?

    War is a desperate business..

    You said "desperate for revenge"

Don't leave that bit out when characterizing the acts of your nation and include it for the yanks
