If you destroy the Constitution, the framework collapses and the laws descend into even greater tyranny.

Your quaint constitution is your business, and I wouldn't even begin to criticise it. :)

But constitutions are double-edged: they give people rights and try to
protect them, but they can also circumscribe and limit rights to what is written
    down and no more.

It's best left to the lawyers so you guys can get back to whatever it is that you do best, e.g. whine about lawyers, whine about the people you elect etc.

This is true. The Federal Government needs to release the death grip on our collective throat.

We have freedom of speech, don't you know?
A big problem with texting is there is no facial expression except emote funny faces and theres no vocal tone.
So, it's understandable you may misidentify a snarl, as a whine.

Your side should get some lawyers and lobbyists to fight on your behalf.

Snarl, whine, it's all the same. You put them up, and you vote them in: you
fall for the three-shell trick every time and then complain you were tricked.

International law is a joke; only obeyed by law-abiding people who surrender their sovereignty. It is a boon to pirates and other low-lifes in all levels of government.

    Screw the UN too.

Yes...I see that the US views the International Law of the Sea to be a joke.

Maybe it's time for the US (and Israel) to go it alone.
You don't need commie foreigners restricting your fundamental rights.
