All the talk about Sharon reminded me about that former Israeli PM, still alive in a vegetative state 6 yrs after a stroke. Can't recall him being mentioned in the news ever since.

A constitution is only as good as the citizens that oversee and guard it -neither of which is happening --as a matter of fact it was not followed from day one in the "all men are equal clause". Also men literally meant men in both of our countries in that women were not really considered in that they were not given the right to vote. I could go on with the so called constitutions of both our countries but basically they were written by wealthy men in power to protect themselves as much as giving freedom to the people. The onis is not on the rich and wealthy to enforce the rules of a country -the responsibility is on the citizens to make sure they do so. The most important tool we have is the vote and sadly the persentages of the population that do so is falling.

You are right. The populace of this country has been dumbed down to the point that they don't realize what the placing of a Commander 0 will do to rip away our freedom. Hope and Change? What a crock! We got change. Time to change it back!

The "people" might want all manner of changes and new laws, but they are not

The problem here is that our illustrious highly intelligent electorate have elected too many lawyers into the government. Shakespeare had a better destination for them.

If you can't understand our constitution you need to work on your English. It was written in plain English that anyone who got a decent education should be able to understand. Of course, viewing it through the lens of socialism will distort your perception.

It was not known this 300 years ago how could it have been yet you still wish to be controlled /managed in this way even in the face of constant deterioration.
