I actually think they will clean everything up. Despite how everyone says the younger generation is lazy (and have for all of human history), I do see that those GenY kids are hard working when they want to achieve something.

I've often heard them talking about how they will clean up the mess.

My generation just doesn't have the numbers. We're too small to make any real impact. I think Gen Y will make the impact.

At present I have 7 wonderfull grandkids. (almost typed great grandkids) and I hope we can solve this delemna before it rests on their shoulders.
My kids are all adults and wonderfull responsible hardworking people. I'm ashamed when they are generous and write off the mess as "What would you expect from the hippy generation!" Though I never was a hippy! I was beatnik!

This old boy will not be selling the shack non too soon to gain speculation money. I made up my mind years ago that instead of investing my extra funds into the hands of investors and their get rich scemes (banks-insurance companies-stocks and bonds and so on) I would invest it in my own development, namely a home that also is an income property and located benifical to my hobbies, a big workshop that is loaded with tools and of course to make this all work properly a search and destroy mission for the right woman :D (that smile is there for a reason) Once one has attained this quazi state of contentment(as good as it gets boys) money is just another tool in the box. If it is not big enough to do the job there's always bartering-trading off work hours- or down right begging :) Two people have tried to buy me out in the last few years --walked right in the door with a real estate agent as bold as brass and laid down some serious cash. MMmmm if it's worth that much to you and you have no experience of the joy living here it's worth twice as much to me to stay. Na money can't buy you happiness BUT,,,, you can buy a big car and go look for it :p
