Honda Remote and Evinrude Outboard

    Can I use a Honda Remote Control Box with an 1994/95 50hp Evinrude?
    In other words is the Honda control compatible with the gear and throttle linkage lengths on the Evinrude?

    The answer is a definite NO!
    The gear lever works just fine but the throttle lever works in reverse. When you increase the throttle lever the speed decreases!
    What a bummer!
