I have a friend selling his 1969 Vance "Sweet Sixteen," but wanted to get a little more histor on it. The only thing I know is that it is the same boat as the Donzi Sweet 16. Anybody know any history.

What do you think this boat is worth? It is in great condition.

I think you will find the Classic Donzi Registry / Donzi owners web site of interest: http://www.donzi.net/

Guest….I am very familiar with the entire Vance story. The nameplate is the combined letters of the two founders (Veach & Lawrence) who along with Ed Minton (formally the head of production at Dorsett boats), started Vance Boats in Santa Clara. The SS was the third of four models that was built in the mid to late 60’s.
If anyone is still interested in OLD MARINE History and or if anyone has an Vance SS for sale….please message me.
