    MPX Test Model------------COMPLETE!

The Fire Arrow test model is complete, as in done, fini!!!

The rudder pushrod was installed and tested today and the radio box was "neatened up".
I can't tell you how great a day this is for me: from a clean sheet of paper in 2010 to an extraordinary sailboat ready to undergo rigourous testing in 2014. This is a big deal to me and well worth the trip. From the loss of my Brother and Mother in the first half of 2012 to my intense back trouble all of 2012 ,to my gastro-intestinal problems from October 2013 to now,to the nut case's that have no clue- NOTHING has stopped me. Slowed me down but never, ever stopped me. Yee-ha!

Just a small request. Since the build thread is now hugely long, maybe you can start a new thread, now that you have finished building and can at last sail it. Looks like light winds next week....ideal weather???

Thanks ,guys. I've considered closing this thread and starting a new thread and talked to Jeff about it. What I've decided to do is to keep this thread going with a Testing section starting almost immediately with a note placed in the first post of the thread showing what page the Testing section starts on.
Bad news: this morning I fired it all up to make adjustments to the rudder turning angle to 38 degrees and almost immediately there was a loud alarm-like sound which I thought was coming from the winch. Turns out it was the brand new rudder servo! If I lightly touch the top of the servo the sound quits. It operates like it did the last two weeks only ,as of today, makes a high pitch sound and what I can best describe as a "sizzling"sound(like static on a radio). So I'll have to call Radio South Tuesday. I have several less powerful servos that may work though their installation cut out is smaller than this one. What a pain.
PS- it's perfect weather for the first sail now-first time in weeks it's been calm.
    ----
UPDATE: Got the servo set for 38 degrees each side and have e-mailed Tony at Radio South hoping he can tell me if this is a no-go problem or not before Tuesday.

Actually, the wind forcast for the next 10 days is almost identical to the last 4 weeks-and they were right then. Today(last 2 hours) was absolutely perfect for the first test sail but it's not going to happen until Wednesday at the earliest-see previous post.

Thanks, Curtis! How is your boat coming along? Did you see the picture of the German surface piercing tri?-I'll post it again below. He's designed the thing to sail autonomously. One of the best RC wings I've seen. Also apparently has servo control of the angle of incidence of the main foils.
