how to build a hardtop for my shetland blackhawk

    If it was me, I'd just bend a piece of foam into a shallow arc athwartship, then cover each side with about 24 ounces of fabric and resin. I'd use epoxy for strength and ease. This would be mounted on stanchions, much like a soft bimini, so it could be rotated forward and down for trailering, maybe it could collapse and rotate aft to cover the cockpit. You could do something similar with plywood and a 'glass sheathing too.
