Its becoming more difficult to follow news , there are small big too many foil boats.

I have no money to build a plywood or grp boat and they are very slow , plans expensive etc.

I am thinking to weld steel skelaton , put foils under it , a keel and a tent and go to venice from istanbul. Food is expensive also and I cant spend two months to cross the sea under 50 celcius med sea. It nuts.

I can afford to a concrete building internal steel rods and I can afford to build a canting foil.

Foil shape can be angular with flat plates and these foils does not want to jump out from the sea whatever the speed. I think this s schlaft wing is used on boomerangs and moths also.

I can put plastic canisters on skelaton to float but mostly everything flies.

I think foils must be engineered for total weight , and what ?

    thanks,

    umut

How will you get this craft up to a speed where the foils become functional?
What will you power this craft with?
A welded steel frame will be heavy, and present considerable drag, beside the fact that you will be immersing it in salt water, what about rust and marine growth?
Better you should buy a ticket on an airplane!

    Speed.
    Many different speeds.
They should be designed for take off speed,
    cruise speed,
    max speed,
    maneuvering speed,
    etc.

What will be the loaded weight of your vessel?

Dollar and Euro gained %800 in 17 years and aircraft tickets are faraway dream.

This boat will be made from marine aluminum space frame covered with pvc truck tarp. Its a sailboat and sail made by polyester foil.

How I design such a foil for any weight ? Where can I find the calculations ? How can I adjust the speed variables to foil ?

Go find an old hull or work in the boatyard; you will get a boat someday.

A skin on aluminum frame sailboat.
Once you know your sailing weight and speed
you can begin calculating foil characteristics and design.

    Is this a one-use boat?
Designed to get from point A to point B and then abandoned?
    Why foils? Added speed?
I think you may want to consider buying a used boat along with some friends
and sail to Venice together, no foils.

yes , this is one time use boat , foils for drop the time spent in sea , more time in sea , more probability to catch a hurricane . I am looking for possibilty to make a high speed boat . Its a funny thing to have high speed , you will have a boat faster than %99 of boats. You can go to crete in few days not few weeks or months. I cant begin calculating foil characteristics , I need few papers teaches this.

He wants to be able to evade the Italian Coast Guard so he can live the sweet "refugee" life.

No. The Turkish Lira lost 800% value because of the actions of your ding-bat politicians.

You should build a concrete submarine.

    Right.

America's death rate is like 7,500 a day and we have a guy in charge worried about 7,000 arrivals who could all be handed an ag work permit if they can prove they aren't a wanted murderer.

I have been wondering about Mustafa's angle for some time now.

I figured he was planning a one time use for a much worse purpose than fleeing.

As you say, everything is relative.

Mustafa - building a foiling craft is not cheap.

Become a lover of boats and fish and things will fall into place for you. Do you eat fish or is it against the faith?

I’m envisioning a shipping container on a bunch of water skis with a few high powered outboards out back.
Of course the entire container would necessarily be filled with fuel tanks, and initial “takeoff” would require a catapult!
Heaven forbid it should come off plane at sea.

About a hundred years ago my grandfather adventured to the US as well. Ann Bancroft, an Antartica explorer lives pretty close to me. Do you eat fish?

28FA9BD8-94E3-4D3A-B46C-B55303DD0B1C.jpeg Here's a low budget rig; although it is a bit small; a tree and some leather or innertube rubber used for lashings and you have a boat.
