Does anyone know the regulations for new boats in the Maldives? Is certification from any classification society required? Are there any requirements are for the structure of the hull?

I presume that this post is connected to your previous thread about a passenger boat that could do 50 knots in the Maldives -
60-seats passenger boats, want top speed of 50knots, any idea https://www.boatdesign.net/threads/60-seats-passenger-boats-want-top-speed-of-50knots-any-idea.68508/

Your last post (#32) in this thread noted that
'Thanks for everyone's ideas. The client has find a design company for this project. If this project worked, I will share with your guys.'

Has the design company asked you to be involved now, re looking up the regulations for new (commercial?) boats in the Maldives?

Or are you now involved in a totally different project?

Same project, the design company is not farmilar with the rules and regulations in Maldives. They need to be sure if there is any necessary requirements.

I presume that you mean a catamaran ferry?
    What size will she be?
Do you still have the requirement for the vessel to be capable of 50 knots?
