    Alternatively, this one is another option. Being a sit-in, it offers a bit more protection in roughter water but I wear a wetsuit in colder weather so that's not really an issue. Being shorter and lighter it has attraction as a car-topper, and is still stable enough for serious fishing.

    Yes, fair enough, but I was talking about the Yosti system with regards to the lack of inner room.

    A traditional boat may not have to measure wood to plans, but there is plenty of measuring to be done, by comparing to other members - each one of those ribs had to be long enough to do the curve, and be fair with the other ribs, the deck formers had to fit inside the gunnels, the stringers had to be long enough and symetrical on the ribs. There was never a boat built that wasnt measured even if only with a bit of string or stick.
