yes - its the " 50 to 100% Reduction in GHG Emissions "

Only thing is what they are 50% of ? (which is why you are winking of course.)

Actually, its the styling that will do the saving - with a design like that, no-one will ever build one, so thereby saving countless tonnes of GHG

Yacht of this size and this speed can not be 'green'... even if one paints it in green.

"Green" is like HI FI 60 years ago,

a meaningless term an advertiser can twist to any result.

AKA "Boob Bait for the Bubbas"

That is a quote I'm going to note down, thanks!

BTW, I agree about the use of "green" to market stuff. I fear we'll see this term being appended to everything over the next few years, to the point where it loses it's meaning.

I designed the greenest yacht of all time. The hull is painted green, the engines are painted green, the interior is all in green colors, the crew due to sea sickness turn green, the owner playing golf on the green doesn't need to be on board, the upper deck is painted sky green with a green house type of construction, the chain and anchors are painted green.
The consumption? Need a lot of green to pay for filling up the 100,000 gallons fuel tanks.
Everything is related to green anyway.
This rendering by Souter is a monument to the green, sorry I meant "greed"

Have you seen the pictures and "green" blurbs of the Turanor Planet Solar? It is a 95 ton solar powered trimaran like ship with a very wide central hull. It has 825 solar panels, said to generate 93.5 kilowatts. The amas are loaded with Li-ion batteries. and the ship claims to attain 12 knots.

The TPS is presently on a round the world voyage that began last month from Monaco. They intend to stay within the 30 degree latitudes where the sun is most likely to shine. $17.5 million dollar experimental green thing.
