    Hey Gonzo

I am not sure but 70's i think. It is 115 hp, 4 cyl pushrod engine with one carb. It has brass fittings across the front edge for cooling and is painted red with black rocker cover.:)

    Volvo Sterndrive ID No's

Gonzo this Volvo Sterndrive has a model id on the leg of - PZ NR43702
The cables for gear engagement seem to be locked up. I have put it in the water, started the motor but could not engage the drive. The push pull button on the control slides in and out but when pushed in the throttle lever cannot move . I understand that the button must be in to engage the g/box as the throttle lever is moved.I will have to remove the cables from the leg end and see if they are free. The old pushrod engine seems to run fine.
    Cheers, Bert

Engine No for Volvo penta - Gonzo

    Gonzo,
The engine serial is AQ 115A / 100. It had very poor performance first time out. It would rev for ever in neutral but under way it loadedup and just laboured so I came back and am now looking to find out why. I checked leg oil its clean and full.I think it may be electrical. Any way if you have any suggestions I would appreciate them. Cheers, Bert:?:
