    Dear Friends,

I want to develop GRP Passenger Boat design, but stuck with starting point of the design. My questions are below.

    1) How to do preliminary weight estimation? Any empirical formula for rough approximation of displacement?

    2) Where to get Hull lines series? (preferably Chined or V shaped forms) Speed required is above 20 knots.

Kindly help me with the above queries.

    Thanking you!

Also, check the legal requirements. They will limit the scope of the SOR. That is often forgotten and makes for a lot of wasted time and money.
