Retired. Just as well, as probably not well enough to be working these days, with a mystery infection ( I believe it is Lyme disease, but you cannot get treated in this country, effectively because the tests do not catch it, as in returning positive tests, and accordingly the medical establishment won't release the type of antibiotics needed to treat it, without a positive. Ludicrous situation where many thousands have the symptoms, but the tests all come up negative. A Parliamentary enquiry is underway about it, but I don't expect anything will change) I worked in the building industry for many years, but the best money I ever made was from betting on racehorses ! All above board, and using only publicly available information. Don't recommend anyone try it, though. The thinking cap needs to be very carefully adjusted.

Had a shipmate on his off hitches, lived in front part of a 2 horse trailer. Pulled with an old pickup truck.
He didn't wager on horses, he bought them and sold them in claiming races.
The trailer was to transport the horses from track to track, to the vet, to trainer ranches, to boarding stables, ect

No, it would be illegal to administer them. As I understand it, only an infectious diseases specialist is authorized to give the treatment. These are the "last resort" types of anti-biotics, and the concern is using them unless absolutely necessary, risks resistant strains of bacteria spreading, with no anti-biotics left in the locker. I could go to the USA, but I understand it requires a long course of IV anti-biotic up to 18 months, and then the success rate is about 50%. A number of people go to Germany for other treatments, which include therapies to raise body temperature high enough to kill the bacteria. Sounds like quackery to me. I am not bad enough to warrant it at the moment, I just have to be careful not to put myself under too much physical or psychological strain, which is when the sometimes bizarre symptoms flare. And alcohol is 100% out, it is apparently not the alcohol, but a break-down product of it, about 4 hours after having drunk alcohol, that triggers symptoms. Doctors have been no help at all. One bloke told me to "suck it up" ! Most here know nothing about it.

You don't need to go to Germany to build a sweat lodge. Native Americans have used them here to successfully treat infections for centuries. During the experience you must stay hydrated and keep your electrolytes in balance.

They can be dangerous without proper knowledge and training.

Mr E., I´ve been ill with a tropical desease. After half a year with fever up 40 deg. Celsius every day and useless antibiotic therapie my doctor gave me a med. called Allopurinol 300 five times the normal treatment. After 14 days I`ve got fever up to 42 deg. C with bursting headache und vomiting for hours.
But after 3 days I woke up in the morning and fever was gone together with the tropical desease. But it nearly killed me.
A year later I had again the same problems and again the same treatment. And now I´m free since 26 Years.
When I asked for a diagnosis, the doc spoke of intracellular parasites (bacteria ?) --- but nobody was able to identify them and there are -- may be 20 000 different species of them and the number ist still growing.
I´ve never used again antibiotics, only colloidal silver which I am preparing myself for me and my family and it works fine after some testing. I`m not silver grey now, only some of my hairs.
To use the artificial fever treatment you need a good doctor who has wide experience as for instance cancer doctors. K.R.M.
