    Hi all ,

I have a hull modeled in Siemens NX, but now need to get it into Maxsurf for loading calculations.

Would there be anyone who has successfully done this?

My IGES & DXF exports don't work, Maxsurf crashes.

Are there any work-arounds that have been discovered?

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately I'm working with copyright data , so I can't upload or share the hull file.

I've tried exporting it out of Solidworks, using the IGES-Nurbs setting, but still it comes into Maxsurf as a distorted mess.

My next attempt is going to be a CAD converter as I believe that Maxsurf likes clean Rhino .3dm files.

Hi, I have had some success importing files from Rhino into Maxsurf as .3dm or .IGES

It is worth exporting the files with as lower surface definition as possible, Maxsurf often has trouble computing large surface files.
