The term 'ozone layer' was never meant to imply that particular part of the atmosphere is mostly ozone. It simply means that 90% of the ozone worldwide is concentrated there.

    its just splitting hairs

the real point is that there was a problem and it was at least somewhat effectively addressed

the initial claim that the 03 issue was all a scam is obviously incorrect

O3, as I stated before, has zero effect on global warming.

It was a climate change denier who brought it up.... when he compared climate change to ozone depletion.

Unfortunately for his argument, ozone depletion is real -- and the steps we've taken to combat it have had measurable results.

Both alleged crises are trumped up deals designed to cripple western economy and both brought to us by the same *** clowns.

We have more O3 than we've ever had. They are even complaining about it in LA.

Yes. We must comply with OSHA Regulations. Especially when the Greeness of the Great Outdoors is at stake.

I do always try to be Saftey concious and wear proper attire when working around dangerous conditions.

This young Lady has taken proper personal propolaytic measures to insure her safety while working in the Farming industry.

Notice that the Hoves may inflict painful injuries if proper footwear is not utilized.

My concern for your Saftey & Welfare should merit at least a boost in REP utataion point commensurate with my diligance.

The highest-ranking House official in charge of environmental and energy policy may soon be a Republican legislator who denies climate change on the grounds of his belief that nothing bad can come of the Earth unless it is preordained by God.

Rep. John Shimkus (R-Ill.), a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce since 1997, submitted a letter to his colleagues earlier this week asking for their blessing in his campaign to assume the gavel when Republicans take control of the chamber.

Interesting gentleman in other ways, too. When he was originally elected, Shimkus ran on a promise that he wouldn't stay more than 12 years. That was two elections ago. When asked about his promise now, he says, "it was a mistake at the time."

He's also the member of the Page Commitee who was originally informed of Representative Mark Foley's 'improper contact' with Congressional pages. ('improper contact' means Foley was hitting on male pages and ex-pages). Shimkus and the Clerk of the House met with Foley, but kept the information secret from the other two members of the Page Committee. Eventually, a disgusted Republican staffer sent evidence of Foley's behavior to the media....
