Do you believe

  1. Global Warming is occuring as a direct result of Human Activity.

The term forcing agent is often used in conjunction with CO2 because it fits the description very well. Being so its often used within the various literature just about anywhere you care to look.

    for instance

    From
    http://www.giss.nasa.gov/research/features/200105_senate/page8.html

    also see

    http://www.giss.nasa.gov/research/features/200105_senate/page4.html

page four of the same article which defined why CO2 is the main "forcing agent" in today's climate system.

    for the original paper see

    Trends Of Measured Forcing Agents
    Hansen/Sato

    http://www.pnas.org/content/98/26/14778.long

From there you should be able to see that the term forcing agent isn't something I'm using out of context or a term I just ripped out of my ***, but a commonly used term to define agents that "force" our climate system into unusual patterns.

Its really quite easy to understand
    assuming one wants to

    Or as Jerry once said

    you aint going to learn
what you don't want to know

CO2 is the largest single human-made climate forcing agent today, and its proportion of the total human-made climate forcing can be anticipated to increase in the future. It is not practical to stop the growth of atmospheric CO2 in the next several decades. However, it is possible to slow the growth rate of CO2 emissions via actions that make good economic and strategic sense

There is more real historical, geological, and scientific data supporting a natural cycle global medieval warm period than there is data to support CO2 drives climate. Infinitely more!
The only "data" to support CO2 drives climate is opinion and theory. Which equals ZERO data!

Forcing agents are those who try to change our ways of life and traditions through punitive Taxation policies.

To funny :p:D:p:D:p:D again what a great read for my morning. Again not a single competent response to even the most basic of basics.

I guess quoting James Hansen pretty much put an end to that "whats a forcing agent" nonsense eh :)

OK ready to let the denial continue

Boston thinks Hansen has credibility. How guilible and naive. I wouldn't buy a birthday balloon from Hansen. Undoubtedly it would be a shared used condom! Boston buys Hansen.
